CRAPS

Craps is fast, fun and extremely exciting, and it has a variety of ways to play. Here is a quick introduction to Craps!

A "round" of Craps play begins when the Stickman offers five dice to one of the players.

The player selects two of them and becomes the "Shooter".

This is the player that will generate all of the action for that round, the same action that all the other players will be betting on.

The first roll by the shooter is called the "Come Out Roll".

There are a few ways that players can win or lose on this roll. (See below for more detail)

If the round continues after the Come Out Roll, then the number the Shooter rolled becomes the "Point".

The Dealers place a puck on that Point number, with the "ON" side of the puck facing up as a reminder to everyone.

Basic Bets
The craps table offers a lot of betting options. Here are some basic craps bets.

The Pass Line
A simple Pass Line Bet works like this: you place your bet on the Pass Line before a new shooter begins their roll. If the Shooter rolls a 7 or 11 on their Come Out Roll, you and all the other Pass Line Bettors win. If the shooter rolls a 2, 3, or 12, you lose.

The Don't Pass Line
The Don't Pass Bet is the opposite of the Pass Line Bet so when the Pass Line Bet would win, the Don't Pass Bet loses. This means you lose on a 7 or 11 on the Come Out Roll, but win on a 2 or 3. A 12 on the Come Out Roll is a Bar or a Push; no one wins, no one loses.

Field Bets
When you're betting on the Field you're betting that the next roll of the dice will be 2, 3, 4, 9, 10, 11 or 12. The Field Bet pays even money for 3, 4, 9, 10, and 11, and double for the 2 and 12.

Come Bets
Essentially, the Come Bet is the Pass Line Bet but the Come Bet allows you to place the bet after the "Point" has been established. The Come Bet wins on 7 or 11 and loses on 2, 3, or 12. If any other number is rolled the money bet in the Come moves to that number. That number must then be rolled again before a 7 for you to win. If a 7 is rolled before that number you lose.

Don't Come Bets
The Don't Come Bet is the opposite of the Come Bet. The Don't Come Bet can only be made after the "Point" is set by the Shooter. If a 7 or 11 is rolled you lose, if a 2 or 3 is rolled you win, and if a 12 is rolled it is a Bar or Push. If any other number is rolled, the money bet in the Don't Come moves behind that number. A 7 must then be rolled before that number comes up again for you to win. If that number is rolled before a 7 you lose.
